aww . . . warmth
We've been without a comforter for a while now. I bought a (mass-produced type) quilt right before Christmas for the guest room but we've been using it in the Master. The quilt's not enough for the harsh, cold winters of Central Texas, though. So today at lunch I went to Kohl's and bought a comforter set (with dust ruffle, 2 shams and a small throwpillow) for $79 + 15% off. That was down from $119. Needless to say it is not a Crosscill or anything but it is a nice looking comforter and much warmer. I also got Danielle some fancy Ariel pjs for $11 +15% off. The 15% off is if you use your Kohl's card. Kohl's is having one heck of a sale right now--if you haven't spent all your Christmas money!

My husband insists that we need to use our down comforter all year round, so we are not often cold. But I love other blankets as well so we often discuss blanket theory.
Glad you are warm! Just in time for the next cold front.

Harsh cold winters of central Texas...? If you come from Hawaii that may be true, but otherwise central Texas has no real winter. Being a native of the DFW area and now living in central Germany, I long for the mild pleasant winters of Texas. Here, in central Europe, winter usually has several months of snow on the ground with highs right at the freezing point for several months. Of course, it's all relative, but I think you must originally come from an area quite warmer than central Texas.
