Seattle trip photos-finally

The whole gang.

I'm so glad it is Friday. Coming back from vacation is hard to catch up with everything. We have lots of laundry to do.
I won 2 Round Rock Express tickets to Saturday's game in a raffle at work. They are seats in the section behind 3rd base so apparently they are good seats. We bought an additional ticket for Danielle so we'll see how she likes baseball.
Finally got my hair trimmed during my lunch hour yesterday. Close to same style--a few more layers. It has much more body now.
My office has a Monthly Chow where the person choosing must pick someplace they have not been to. This month is mine and I chose Homeslice Pizza in SoCo; I'll let you know how it is.
Have a great Friday...
8 years ago today I made one of my best choices and married a fantastic man. Happy anniversary, love.
Danielle and I made it home last night--late--our plane arrived at 10:35pm. Trey came home the night before.
I've got a gazillon photos to upload and stuff to write but will have to do it after work tonight.
Have a great day!
So we finally arrived in Seattle yesterday via multiple West Coast stop flights through California. Got to see San Diego and the Golden Gate bridge from the plane. Thursday evening we ate dinner and played "Who Knew?" This morning Danielle and I went with Gretchen to her church to get the Sunday school supplies ready, then to lunch at school with Emory and Amberlin before grocery shopping. Got home, played with Addison and cleaned up before the kids came home and now we're finishing homework. Yes, Seattle has been rainy since we've arrived but FUN!!!!
Hope you all had a fantastic weekend.

This is in response to Mark's (http://saxonsayings.blogspot.com/) recent post about Abba.
I LOVE this song. I even had the solo album . . . I wonder where it is . . . As a teenager I was quite the photography nut (I was head photographer one year for the yearbook) and, of course after watching this and similar 80s videos, fully expected to have a lots of money and a cool apartment filled with lots of white furniture and funky windows during my hip, young, single years! :-) lol. Wow is life different . . . one day you wake up and you are almost 37 and wondering what happened to your life . . .
This week was very stressful at work. There are several changes and I'm not sure how I feel. Not trying to be cryptic but there are a lot of things going on and you can never be sure what you post may be misintrepeted and make its way back to you . I'm still trying to figure out what to do/feel/think so I'm refraining. Continued prayers are welcome . . . have a great weekend!
With some of the things that have been happening lately I think that God may be giving me a gentle push?? I'm just not sure which way that push is . . . I have several days of careful consideration and prayer ahead.
Danielle just amazes me lately with all her curiousity. From catching roly-polies to wanting to know what and how concrete is made. That's just a few of the things we've studied over the last few nights . . .
Last night I went out with my friend, Mandi, to a Mary Kay training dinner then to Starbucks to get some chai tea lattes. It was fun catching up! She's so funny!
And, sadly, I CANNOT CHECK ANY BLOGGER SITES on a break at work b/c our IT dept blocked them all. And why do IT guys think women know nothing about computers? Is that universal or only n my little corner of the world???
Tonight we were reading "I love you, little one" and came to the page about the baby owl asking the mama owl "Do you love me, mama?" and Danielle became very interested in owls. So we went online and found this good little website for kids about owls:

and this owl webcam in Benicia, California (location listed for you, Sarah :-) :

if you are interested.
This week has been BEAUTIFUL in Austin so I refuse to go inside when we get home. Monday night I pulled up a bunch of old sticks that the (grr) tree trimmer guy left and realized when I went to bed that night that I kept scratching, scratching my legs--I think chiggers got me!! I haven't had chiggers since, hmmmm, high school! lol.
Last night was my Susannah Circle at church; we learned about Deaconesses in the United Methodist Church and it was very interesting. Came home and talked to my SIL for about an hour.
Tonight Trey is out with the boys so Danielle and I came home, took a walk with the neighbor kid, Allyson, then came home and I talked to my neice, Amberlin, for about 1/2 hour. I'm in the process of making hamburgers and fries (guilty pleasures) while Danielle is learning to dance like a (Barbie 12 Dancing) Princess. What a great week so far . . .
Danielle snuck into our bed last night--after she was back to a very deep sleep she said "Give me some candy!" and that was all . . .
lol!
This evening we were eating dinner and we made Danielle try an artichoke. Trey was explaining to her that she had just eaten a flower, how it was cut up, etc. I said "the part we ate people call an artichoke heart." Her face fell and she got very upset so I asked her what was wrong...she said "I don't want to eat the flower's heart." Thankfully, Trey saved the day by explaining that the flowers don't have real hearts--the heart just means the center.
